Debauchery Antidote

I love this commercial. It's cool and empowering and everything I need after yet another night of complete Mayhem. It was less "sleep in my clothes" and more "where the hell did I put my phone?". You know how after you compromise all of your morals and better judgment and then need to watch a movie like Hope Floats to regain some sense of humanity? This is that.

Leaning on the Windowsill

I found the photos of this house in Mexico yesterday. Is it strange that I waffle back and forth between wanting my house to be completely minimal and totally overdone?
On a side note, because of all of the Halloween shows on lately I got a chance to have a look at the Winchester House again..... the one with all of the doors to nowhere and dead ends?
I could be doomed to have this house if I can't figure out which style I like.

Bones

Usually I really dress up for Halloween. It involves weeks of planning, the best costume at the party, and generally ends with me sleeping in my clothes. Whatever. This year has been a little different because I have planned nothing and find myself trying to figure out the easiest costume that I can and just wanting to skip forward to the part where I'm sleeping.
Is it because it's colder than usual right now?
Can my costume just be makeup?

Voyeur

I just spent 45 minutes on this site. It's different, it's well done, and definitely worth the time. You can go through other people's texts, voicemails, etc...... Just like Jessica Simpson.
It's a really addicting.

Because I'll Buy Anything That Seems Like Candy, Or Is Japanese

yet, I love this and this is made by a French designer.... and featured on a French site. My sense of the world is upside down.

Do These Even Work?

I want the office to expense a light box for me because I feel that if there is some way to alter my mood with just a light bulb instead of say, 3 Red Bulls and making fun of interns..... then by all means.
They should make one that makes you tan also.

Just How I Found It

Cheap Monday

I am obsessed. I have 2 pairs. And wear them almost every day between washes. Ok, I don't wash them that often.

Dear Santa

I know most people that want things like EZ Bake ovens and Lite Brites are like..... 11 years old. BUT, I really really want this mini doughnut maker. I could set it up at my desk and never eat regular food again. Not that I eat regular food anyway. the best part is that it's called the Dough-Nu-Matic like it should be in a cartoon with anvils from ACME.

A Horrible Plan

So my sister calls me last night and tells me that she will be meeting the family for Thanksgiving in Columbus Ohio and then I start telling her that our other sister and I will probably drive together. There is a silence for a moment or two and then she says "oh..... I think Mom rented a van for all of you and our grandparents".
I am pretty much speechless that not only does my mom think that driving together for 7 hours in a van is safe, but also that she deliberately hid the plan from me because she KNEW it was a completely bullshit plan.
My sisters and I are in our late 20's, but are not above buying excessive amounts of snacks, singing aloud, and fighting during any sort of car trip. This presents a problem when we are in the presence of our esteemed grandparents.....
I told my mom I would rather cling to the bottom of the van than ride inside it.

Because I'll Buy Anything That Seems Like Candy, Or Is Japanese.

This will begin a series of posts on my love affair with everything candy, or Japanese. A strange combination, but related I think. Most things that I buy are either candy, or candy colored, or at least not made from anything found in nature.
These are deceptively yummy-looking but are actually fishcakes.

Harvest

My parents live on a farm.  I didn't grow up on a farm and neither did they, which is what makes their farm living so hilarious sometimes....
But some Sundays when I go over for dinner, I just have to put away my sarcasm and quick wit and just enjoy the Fall-ness of the place.

Debauchery

One of my least favorite things to do is "go out for dinner" and wind up waking up 9 hours later with a screaming hangover. Yet this is what has been consistently happening over the last few weekends. Is it my complete lack of willpower?

CNN Ensures Burton's Success

So Burton went and put some Centerfolds on snowboards. I actually kind of like them minus the fact that I don't actually like winter and the last few times I went snowboarding I ended up unable to move for days. CNN interviewed some parents about it who (surprise) weren't too pleased about "children" using the boards (do they make the Centerfold Board in children sizes?).

Everyday is Fine

Check out what I found on Apartment therapy. And while you're at it, have a listen to Flunk's "Indian rope trick". It's that kind of day.

If Tim Burton Had A Cartoon Car

It would be this. It's designed by Kimberly Wu Joy, I could really see myself driving this if I weren't hell bent on moving out of a city where you even need a car. Still.... maybe she'll produce tiny versions of it so I can play with them on my desk.

Fish Violence

Love this video. Wish I made it.

Good Morning..... Here's Your Slice of Peanut Butter.

So apparently, peanut butter is just wayyyy to difficult to get out of a jar. Now, you can get it in a cute little slice that looks like Kraft Singles. Aside from this being really weird, I kind of want to find them. I guess it comes from the same place in me that loves individually wrapped string cheeses.

Balls of Fun

This bit of landscape coolness is by Pergola, and is in France for the Le Havre’s Contemporary Art Biennale.

You Were Snoring

In light of all the flights I've been on lately, check out this French commercial.... it's great!
