Is This A Real Hobby?

My friend Tom C. goes to the shooting range. For fun. Which I didn't even know you could do. Is it just me, or is the shooting range so.... not bowling? Is it a real hobby? Is it kind of like playing a video game?
I thought it was practice for hunting....
Now, he's recruited the Vapous's to go along with him so I have to decide how I feel about this whole thing.

In my mind the pistol range is like bowling's older tougher more redneck big brother--maybe toothless distant cousin. Both shooting and bowling require strength, accuracy and focus, and both give an unexpected feeling of accomplishment to the most unsuspecting people.

P.S. I have no interest in killing/hunting, only in challenging myself to do things not inside my typical range of comfort. A genius friend once told me I need to be less regimented and more spontaneous.

except bowling goes so much better with pitchers of beer!

Also, bowling requires cool shoes.

When I think of 'cool shoes' someone else's sweat and clown color schemes don't come to mind.

Your correct about the pitcher of beer, but cans of PBR and shotguns to me fit hand-in-hand.

If zombies ever attack, you'll be happy you have friends like me.

In fact I think our zombie emergency plan should be to meet at my house... between me and the newly trained Vapous duo I think you'd be pretty well protected!
